I was driving home from Thanksgiving dinner this evening, my wife and daughter got all excited about people's Christmas lights. As I was driving around looking at lights, I decided that it's a good thing for our society for people to put up Christmas decorations. So....
I have an Orvis rod and reel for #3 that I no longer use. The rod is in fine condition. The reel has some rock rash on it, but it works just fine. I thought of selling it, but I'd rather give it away. I'll even cover shipping. I'll send the rod and reel to whoever posts the best picture of themselves with some sort of fly fishing Christmas spirit. I'm thinking maybe of a pic of you as a fishing Santa. Or maybe your boat all decorated up with lights? Or maybe you can figure out a way to have a fly fishing manger scene? lol! That would be awesome. But the rule is that it has to be your decoration - I'm not interested in a picture of somebody else's lights and decorations.
I certainly don't want this to come across as coercive or anything. So...if you're into celebrating Christmas, and you'd like to have a little fun with this, then post up your pictures in this thread.
I'm going to be gone, without Internet, from mid December until early January. So I'll pick the best picture on Jan 3.
Merry Christmas!
