I have been fishing the Echo Glass 6’ 9” inch 3wt fly rod a lot this summer on small creeks and beaver ponds. I have not had so much fun fishing creeks and beaver ponds since I was a kid. This rod with Rio LT Line can throw dry flies far enough to cover normal sized beaver ponds is just stiff enough to set the hook on long cast but once you have the fish on it turns a 6-inch trout into a monster! I normally don’t like slow action rods but this rod is great, I fish 7.5-foot leaders with it when chasing brookies on small creeks and beaver ponds and 9 foot leaders when fishing for bluegills on the pond and love this rod so much I bought two more for the kids to use!
