Ya John, some fish are into the presentation thing more than matching the hatch.
Some are fish are greedy, some are gullible, some are discerning and recalcitrant.
I preffer the latter, but BF mostly goes for greedy ones. On a good day though, I'll match wits with any fish.
I noticed long ago, they have trouble holding a pencil, to fill in the scantron forms.

Ultimately, it's not catching fish that satisfies, but knowing how.

My opinion some are smart some are not so smart. But just like us humans they are also predictable. Sometimes they can predict us and vice versa. On any given day we will face both and who wins is a matter of luck, determination and using all your skill and knowledge. That's what makes it fun!!!

    OOPS..... wrong thread. DUH

I don't think you greased that bugger and fished it on the surface with 0x, did you?

One morning, not too-too long ago (I can still remember it.), I was a caretaker on a local pay to play pond (10ac.)
The fish (rainbows) were fed twice a year. The rest of the time it was a natural food diet.
They saw 4 rods a day. They grew quite spooky over the season.
Fish from upper single digits (6), to double digit (16).
One very overcast morning, my friend Ned and I fished some of my deadly floating crystal buggers on 3x flouro.
Towed them behind my Pram, on the surface, as fast as he/I could row.
I can still see those fish hurtling into the air doing a tarpon thang.
But, forget I mentioned it.......... besides, it has nothing to do with leaders/snobs.
    Does it?
