    Default Reel seat color

    Hey Guys,
I am going to begin a build shortly on a 3wt Orvis Trout Bum and wanted to hear some opinions as to which wood to use on the reel seat. What color wood do yall think would look the best? If you have not seen the rod I have attached a link so you can see the color scheme.
    THanks,
    Tuck

If the rod is for you then go with what you like. You'll get a lot of different opinions asking everybody in general when the only opinion that really matters is the one who's going to be using it. There is no right or wrong.

I know it is ultimately up to me but I am torn between a couple of different woods so I want to hear from others on what they think will look the best.

I generally like birds-eye maple burl and striated woods like zebra for seats.

If you're going with more of a solid color wood, I would think an orangy caramel color would work better with that blank than a more burgundy color. (evidenced by the fact that I'm wearing olive shorts and a burnt orange shirt right now)

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.
