Thread: Editing a Post

    Default Editing a Post

How does one go about editing one of their own posts? I know I am missing something obvious, but I cannot for the world of me figure it out.

You can click the EDIT button, but the chance to edit expires in about 15 minutes. I don't know why, but it does.

EDIT The EDIT button will appear to the left of the Quote button during the 15m +/- time period after you post.
Once you've edited, you have to hit the Save button.

I did not find an edit button on my post so I assume the time frame for editing had passed. Why is there such a small window to edit a post? Is this something that can be changed?

I will see what the timeing options are and get back to this post.

UP date: I changed the timeing to 30 minutes. I will check tomorrow and make sure this function has no impact on the system. I think the 15 min is just a default level. I saw some other settings with the same limit. Please check back tomorrow.

    Hi Everyone,

I turned off the editing time limit. You will be able to edit your post at any time.

Got any more ideas that would make the forum easier to use?
