Those kind of pants are great for fishing. They're versatile and dry very quickly. However, you can find them cheaper at llbean or cabelas.

Use them? During most of the summer. Here in So-Or it gets hotter than heck so 'wet wading' is more the norm for many of us. Breathable waders or no, the things are just too warm to ware. Assuming you're not into sweating like a Pig in 'heat.'

Toss on a UV protected shirt and you're good to go.

Wouldn't be without them...They dry quick, they're comfortable; what more could you ask for?

You may be right, but the "Buy Now" takes you to Orvis.

In case this question caught anyone elses eye...
I use them quite a bit. They're great under breathables in hot weather but cold water as they simply feel better next to the skin than waders.
When wet wading they rock! They keep you from sunburn and if Buzz-Off type pants, keep the bugs away walking to and from the stream. They dry in a snap too.
With capoline or the like under them they are very nice in cool water.
I would warn about washing or wearing the shorts much more than the legs. The shorts can fade much more than the legs and look a little odd.

Agree with all they are great for the light weight fast drying properties. I never remove the legs, no need.
