Default took a crazy lookin brown today...

Fishing clark in PA today was pretty good but cold water....I hooked this brown but never saw one like it...there are also brookies in the creek so was wondering
if it is a natural brook/brown hybrid (tiger trout). I included a pic of a normal clark creek brown also from today.

Tiger trout come from Brown trout eggs and Brook trout milt. I'm wondering if you did'nt catch the reverse there. Brookie mom and Brown father. It does not look like a Tiger, but it does look like a hybrid. Although it may just be an odd colored Brown. I'm not sure if a F brookie and M Brown can be crossed, but if I was forced to make a guess, maybe. Interesting fish. I may have to do an internet search on this one. Has my curiosity up.

Nothing crazy about the fish, good color and looks healthy.

Ah thank you sandfly...clears up why this was the only brown I took among 7 others with "normal" patterning.

The fish represent two different genetic strain of brown trout. What you call normal fish are descended from the Loch Leven browns and the fish having the more pronounced coloration and slightly different morphology is descended from the Von Buhr or German brown strain.

No, Tiger trout are hybridized between a brook and brown trout. The fish in these pictures are simply brown trout.
