Thread: Trout Tattoo - in progress

Default Trout Tattoo - in progress

Here's how my tattoo is looking the day after getting ink'd.

It's based off a big brown I caught last year and is a way of recognizing and remembering that fish. 4lb. tippet, hopper pattern, 5wt rod, and one hell of a fight! Not to mention a perfect male brown.

    Here's the design

And what we have done thus far.

Looking good! I had the same thought of getting a ff tat but wasn't sure what to do. I have my buddy Andy B drawing me up a few pics to choose from. I'm sure I'll get some good ideas to use from him. How much is that running you?

    Digeridoo,
Nice art! Like to see the finished product.

    Pack,
How about that clown trout pattern that Andy does? That is a wicked looking fish.

He is drawing me up two big sheets of art with all sorts of diff ideas. I'm sure the insane clown trout will be on there somewhere.

Yea it'll be nice once it's done. I gave her a ton of reference photos and sketched out a brown trout.

She based the trout off my sketch.

    Whoa,

This is what is meant by 'Dedicated Fisherman' that is the coolest tattoo I've ever seen!

You draw very well, you should post prints of that in our classifieds.

Cheers Hardyreels. I really like how my tattoo artist put it all together. Great balance and detail.

I'll keep that in mind about selling prints. Have had a few people interested.

Not to sound negative; but what do you do when you catch a MUCH bigger fish at a later time down the road?
