Default Fishing in West Virginia

hi. im new to the board, and have learned alot just since i joined, so i want to thank everyone for all there help and knowledge. i recently won a flyrod at an outdoors show and have been reading all i can since then. im going to be fishing the New and Greebrier Rivers when the weather warms up, but was wondering if there was any trout fishing to be done in the state with a flyrod. i usually only catfish out of the ohio and do a little bass fishing at beachfork state park, so dont really know alot about the trout scene. the only guys i know that trout fish, use power bait, and i dont really want to fish like that. so any information on cold weather fishing in West Virginia would be appreciated. thanks.

I always hate to see a post go unanswered. As for your question about WV Fly fishing I can only provide you with a few links for some information of interest but be sure you come back here and let us know what you find out and give us a full fly fishing report of your success. - Fly Fishing WV

Cranberry River or Seneca Creek come to mind. Check out your DNR website or regulations for other areas. The links in the aforementioned response are very helpful. First Brookie I ever caught was in W Va. Good Luck!
