Thread: Norway?

  1. #1

    Default Norway?

Anyone ever fly fished in Norway?

There's not a ton of information out there, but from what I can find there don't appear to be too many restrictions. Are there any weird regulations that I'm unaware of? The biggest issue seems to be getting access. How difficult is access to river fishing?

How about fishing from the beaches/fjords? I know you don't even need a license to fish there, but I'm just curious how easy it is to successfully fish these places.

    Hi !!

I fished Norway twice in 1998 and 2002. (more than 10 years now!!! )

I fished only brown and sea trout, and not sea bass of fjords. If you wants informations about sea fishing, I can't help you.

For trout fishing, (and greyling), it's the finest destination in all Europe. Depending on the place in the country, you can find in the north of the country, Lapland (with Sweden, and Finland borders) you'll find execptional greyling fishing: Grayling Fly Fishing Finland - Arctic Grayling Finland - Big Grayling Finland - Grayling Fishing Norway - Grayling Sweden - Grayling LandŽ Fly Fishing Holidays & Arctic Winter Adventures

You have to pay a day or week ticket.

In the center and south of the country, you'll find salmons streams (Gaula, Laerdal, ect..) Freshwater fishing guided trips and vacations, overseas fishing trips & adventures by WhereWiseMenFish

And trout streams anywhere. (with 18" browns)

And a video of trout fishing: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTr16qpNkQ8]Fluefiske/ To fortapte Menn - Fri flyt - YouTube[/ame]
