  1. Default collecting flies

Hello Listers:I,m starting a small collection of flies tied by famous tiers. I have a few now from those who advertise on the internet. I would like to get a fly from the following tiers; John Barr, A.K. Best, and Charlie Meck. My question is ; Does anyone know how I might contact these tyers to maybe purchase one of their personal ties ? You can pm me to keep this info private. Thanks for any and all help.....jim

Funny- I have a bunch of A.K's flies that I purchased from Roy's shop in Basalt Colorado back when I fished the Frying Pan. Nice flies- little quill bodied parachute dries. Got some Rene Harrop caddis as well, I have been fishing both for years but less so these days, I guess I have come to see them as valuable.

I once had some flies tied by John Betts, a cool little PMD and his version of a woolybugger. Then I met the man and realized what a self absorbed individual he is and I cut the wooly off the hook and used the hook for a decent fly. I kept the PMD because it was pretty cool.

I was going fly fishing until my wife suggested it, now I can't tell who is outsmarting who!

Being "one with nature" requires a knowledge of what animals are living nearby and a weapon of sufficient magnitude to give you at minimum an equal chance of survival. No one has an invisible aura that animals can detect and sense your good intentions.
