Thread: Just my luck

  1. Default Just my luck

I was out yesterday casting in my yard as I didn't have enough time to run out to the lake. My leader got caught in a bush, (soon to be gone bush) no biggie. I sit my New rod down against the fence and with line in my hand head toward the problem. I step off in a mole hole, twist my ankle falling to the ground and breaking my arm. The biggest pain came from looking at my rod seeing that the tip had snapped off. Broken arm, Broken fishing rod, with luck like that I don't know why I haven't won the lottery yet. I thought I would just share my day with you all.
    Thanks for reading,
    Barry

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. I've broken rods, but never broken my bones at the same time. Hope your arms heals quickly, if only the rod could too.

Sorry Barry....that's really bad luck...but which arm did you break? Is it the one you cast with?It happened to a friend of mine long ago ...as he didn't want to stop fishing he fished with the other arm....so now he can fish with both which can be useful at times
