personal pontoon chain anchor weight

how heavy should i make the chain anchor for my personal pontoon? is there a formula with weight per flow or something?

Good question. I ordered the anchor attachment from NFO last summer for my Rampage pontoon, it was back ordered and I think it just dropped through the crack so last week I called Dave and he said he would ship me one once he gets them back in stock (roughly two weeks). You might PM Mojo as he uses a chain anchor on his pontoon so he should have a pretty good idea.

I did it very scientificly.
5/16" chain cut to 24" lengths (so you can double it up) and cut one about 13". 3 lengths of chain and a 13" looked like 12 lbs.
Works damn good!
