  1. Default Missouri River Montana fly fishing (Video)

Hi all, I've yet to post on this board as I've never really felt that I had much more to contribute than what is already said. But as an amateur videographer I recently shot a video on the Missouri river that I thought I would share with you. I hope you enjoy!

That was Great.... well done. I have tried to make some vids in the past, I know how difficult it can be to capture good footage.

    Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking River, the road follows the River for quite a while,a place I'd like to Tour in a RV,a few years ago I bought gear from a Guy who lives in Cascade,he told me then the fish were plentiful, looks as if they still are.

I sense a good bit of artistic license.

I see video after video of bugs matting the water, and I see lots of video of fish being caught, but I see NO video of fish being caught on bug matted water.

    Why?

"Cause when the bugs are that thick, your fly is one in a thousand. Might as well pack it up and go home.

    Still, I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Chris, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and believe me, I'm open to feedback, but I'm not sure what your point is.
When you say artistic license, are you thinking that the fish I caught/show are not caught under the same conditions as the bugs-on-the-water scenes? I assure you they are, but if you're feeling that it doesn't seem to match up, then that's good feedback for me to hear.
Yet, the only thing I can think of to connect the two would be to film my fly in that bug matted water, and to capture the rise and take on film. Ugggh, that's a tall order to zoom in on that. . .
I'll see what I can do!

    Thanks all!
    Dave

As for your fly being one in a thousand. That just means you have to make, at most, a thousand casts. That's no biggie after so many years of fishing for steelies and muskie.
