Default After 8 rods and 5 reels found perfection

I have found the perfect combo for my style of fishing. Orvis Superfine Trout Bum 6'6" 2 piece 3WT and Hardy Flyweight reel. This older Trout Bum rod is way better than the new Superfine rods. The hardy reel is simple and well built. I have landed fish up to 14 inches and love it. Perfection in my mind.

Yes, I agree, those old Superfine rods are really nice sticks! I think Ard has had his since 1979 and it is still one of his favorites (if I recall correctly). I bought a used 7' 6" 3 wt off EBay this past winter, but so far have only played with it in the yard.

you are a big tease......tell us how great a rod is and then tell us we can't buy one anymore. You get 50 lashes with a wet noodle

Ahem.... with a statement like "finally found perfection'.... How are you going to justify more purchases? you just screwed yourself, my man.

There is just something about *that one* rod, isn't there? We all have one-- and they are as varied as we all are.

as of know this is the only rod i own. I am a one rod and reel guy. I found this one new in a fly shop in Missouri. I have a lovely wife she could care less when and how many rods I own. she has hobbies also. 31 years togeather we get along just fine, camping fishing traveling. It's been good
