    In order of productivity so far this year, it would have to be:

    Lenny's Special Lite
    Orange rubber legged stimulator
    Pink foam Hopper
    parachute BWO

    Stenacron, I like your Leisenring quote. I used to live in the Poconos and fished most of the waters that were home to Jim. His book got me in to soft hackles and flymph-type nymphs. His recipes still work well on the waters in the Poconos / Catskills.

    Yeah, it's a great book and fascinating subject. Incredible journey inside the mind of a fly designer.

    His recipes work out here in the west too, with some tweaking of course.

    thanks man the pictures really help us new guys. im waiting for my rod to come in so i can go have my principal teach me abou all of this totally lost when it comes to type of flies and what they do haha.
