Default A good day on the Blue...

I've been fishing in town a lot and have noticed that the fish are getting more and more weary of fisherman. The fishing pressure is huge for this tailwater, especially with the nice weather and abundance of fish.

Unfortunately, with increased pressure the fish aren't eating like they used to. That's not to say that you won't catch fish in town...but it's getting more difficult...

    Here's one from in town...

A buddy of mine told me that he found a honey hole north of town, so I left the 6 other fisherman fishing cable hole and we drove a little ways out of town.

We were rewarded for getting away from the crowds with big fish that were eager to eat!

    Here's my buddy's 24 incher that took a dry.

And a few big boys that I managed to land.

The fishing was on fire! Lots of fish were landed, and lots more lost.

Sometimes it pays to explore your local home waters...
