    Default catching a sucker/ carp on a fly?

    well me and my friend were fishing up a river the other day we have never fished before i noticed a beautiful hole about 30 yards up from us and once we got there we ccaught about 8 fish a piece..then we say about a 3 foot carp swimming though the water! then we say about 7 more swimming together..they would fallow his spinners but not bite.. what kind of a fly will catch these things? i really want to catch them

    I wasn't trying to catch them but I think if it's close to the bottom and looks like something to eat they will eat it. My daughter caught one the last time she went with me.

    Search the forum for carp, there's answers to this question in a few threads. I just typed up a short answer for what has lately worked for me in another thread yesterday. Very short answer though: try a yellow globug.
