Default Fishing Club!!!

Hi friends!

A number of my guests have inquired about joining /starting an 'anglers club.' This is something new to my area!! They are real postive about fishing clubs! I'm not sure!!!!!

I need some help please!

What are the benefits to the members/lodge? Are there fees? What is expected etc.? Who runs/manage the club? what are some of the negatives?

Please be generous with your comments etc. as you will basically decide where I go with this!!

Our lodge targets the 'bonefish, tarpon & permit' mainly!

thanks,

Felton

Default Re: Fishing Club!!!

Starting Clubs & running them isn't as simple as it reads because it doesn't matter where you are, guidlines have to be followed to make it a success.
Also everyone starts out very keen when Clubs are started as you have to keep everyone interested then because of committments, work relocation is a big issue etc,etc you usually end up with the same people either turning up at meetings & or doing everything.
Another thing there are some who want to run everthing their way not to suit everyone & usually get dissapointed when anything or anyone goes against them,so the bottom line is:
Do you have enough people to run & be part of a club, otherwise it's a time wasting exercise.
Brian.
