WT Bash or Rip Tide will be the source for this. I have several that I got in the 70's and they are different. Goggle the brand and you can find a company history that will explain the different places they were manufactured and the years.

I'm going to guess it is from the mid to late 80's maybe even early 90's

What does it say on the frame just above reel seat ?
If it says "DA" after the model number it was made in Akron, Ohio, from 1966-69
If it says " DA, Made in USA" it was made in Fayetteville, Arkansas between 1970 and 1979

It says 1495 made in akron ohio on the frame. No da.

It does say made from daimolite or something then no. 1495, then made in akron ohio.

    ... now we're talking 1960 -1963
Does it actually say Akron Ohio" or just "Akron O, USA"..?
These little differences can be important when trying to date something like this

    Okay then
Nice reel, good condition, very collectable, but not real valuable
I saw one the other day going for $35, but yours is much nicer

Yeah its my buddies' we were really just interested in the year. It's the reel he learned to fish on, and the one he still fishes with. So were just curious. So its from the early sixties?
