    Smile Christening the new cap

Last week I got an unexpected package...what I found inside was even more unexpected…My friend Ard noticed in the “hat love “thread I had several fishing caps( around ten I think) and sent me one from Alaska…but there was also home made and fished smoked salmon…was lucky the customs officers didn’t open the package or they would have eaten everything.Yesterday I decided to go fishing and christen the new cap.I fished alone in the morning and had a great time,my friend JM met me in he afternoon. As he’s not managed to go fishing for a while I was glad to”guide” him most of the time locating fish .We could catch a good number of beautifully colored bows and good sized chub…as for the dace looks like one of them has given the game away….they swim away like mad as soon as I ‘m in the area. After all I’d say it’s a good fishing cap,I would have been surprised if it wasn’t….thanks again Ard.
Wearing the new cap.Sorry for the silly smile:.

    JP,

The hat somehow makes you look very French I'm happy to know that you like it and were surprised with it.

Man, that is one serious chub. The ones we see are a bit smaller and far less coveted! That second rainbow in particular is especially beautiful. The new hat is a good one, hope it carries good luck with it or starts building it up! I'm too superstitious on the water when it comes to hats and such, my favored ones end up pretty faded and beat up
