That's pretty amazing -

I don't know much about fishing, but isn't a 7-1/4" sucker minnow fairly large tackle for small-mouth bass?

Too bad they didnt document it and then release it. A fish like that would have produced superior offspring. Great fish none the less.

Can you imagine that! The thought of something like that happening is one of the lures of fishing I guess. We love the outdoors and all fish are good fish but can you imagine that!

Vans: I have to agree, if I landed a fish like that I wouldn't have the heart to kill it.

Crruns: I'm with you, I've only fished for smallies a few times and we didn't need anything near that size. Small poppers, Chernobyl ants and wooly buggers worked fine for me.
