I was talking with Popperfly yesterday and he let me know about the Tennessee CFR retreat this year, so I went over to their site to take a look and saw this gal wearing a CFR hat and she had a pink fly pinned to the hat. That gave me the idea for tying up a few pink flies for the Wyoming CFR program so yesterday I ordered some pink thread and pink foam, going to tie up some pink beetles.

This morning I dropped off all the flies that everyone on the forum donated to the Wyoming CFR program to a nurse that works at the clinic in town. She was so excited to receive the flies we donated, it brought tears to my eyes to see her enthusiasm. She will deliver the flies to the Wyoming CFR coordinator when they have their organizational meeting in March. I sure hope I can get those pink flies done before then.

Larry, I wanted pass on some thanks to you for organizing this. Since you donated the flies I've gotten three different 'thank you's' from the CFR folks. All really touching. Today I got home to a moving, hand-written card and a bumper sticker the woman designed. All this for a few flies I sent. Really above an beyond, a testimony to the good work they are doing. I'll certainly tie up more to donate, and I encourage others as well. Whether or not the 'thank you' notes come, well worth it. Reminds me to renew my efforts to get a family member to sign-up.

    Thanks again Larry.

William: Great to hear that the CFR gals have sent a thank you note! I had passed them an address to all the great guys on the forum that generously donated flies.
