Default On the Rio Grande today

Went down to Manby Hot Springs in the Gorge. The fishing wasn't stellar, but these guys made up for it. There were 8. Wary, but they got pretty close, as you can see.

Wonderful pictures!

I would enjoy a day in the southwest right about now.

lacanadio: Great shots of the sheep! Must have been pretty cool to see them so close up.

JP: That video was great. That telephoto lens that they were using was amazing! Those animals sure live in some beautiful and steep terrain.

Awesome pics. All eight were rams I assume. I wanted to stop at the hot springs when I ran the taos box a few years ago but it was overcrowded with nudies. Got some good pics though, lol.

JP: cool video! It's amazing how sure-footed they are traversing that terrain.

We were on the west side of the river when they were close. After we crossed back to the east, we saw two of them get into it and butt heads - pretty loud, even from ~100 yards away.
