Default Who do you aspire to be like?

I want to be at the level that my personal friend Pete Gray is at. He mostly fishes the Massachusetts saltwater for bluefish and stripers. I really, really want to tie like him and with his guidance I am slowly getting there. He even set me up with my vice.

Who do you want to be like?

Growing up I would have said Gadabout Gaddis, Ted Williams, or Lee Wulff.
If you asked me 15-20 years ago, it would have been Lefty or maybe Jack Gartside.

Lots of people have skills I'd like to develop myself, but this seems like a good attitude!

I aspire to be the person my dog thinks I am. I have a long ways to go.

Without a doubt it would be my late step father (known as Dad). He was the most honorable man I've ever met, though it wasn't so obvious to me when I was a teenager.

Close second is my Grandfather who I never once heard complain about anything, he simple did what he need to do to get past it.

    Neither of them fished.

I used to want to be like Dave Whitlock. Im ok with the fact im not though. I've turned into the guy in our circle of fishing friends that I am the one everyone is aspiring to be. Kinda keeps the pressure on me to not screw it all up HAHA!!

I aspire to be like the guy who brings a smile to the faces of people whenever they think of him. And when it's time to move on, I'd like to deserve an obituary that is honest and complementary and well earned.
