Thread: Good, cheap rod tubes and socks

Agreed. PVC and a hacksaw. That's what Sage uses. $10 from big box store. Sock? Go to a seamstress at local dry cleaner with the rod. They can whip it up for you custom from scraps or old jeans for cheap and you support local biz.

I've made them out of pvc and it is cheap but I prefer not using it. Figure I put time into thread wraps, grip materials, choosing guides and reel seat, etc and want a tube that will at least look decent, but I do look cheap. Often ebay is a good option, also bought some on amazon, Cabelas has sales periodically too.

Nick, We have plenty of extra tubes at the warehouse from demo rods. No need to buy them. Be nice to clear some of them out. Please contact me at info@allenflyfishing.com or feel free to call me at 574-855-7100 if you would like some.

    Thanks

    Justin

Wow, I didn't expect that. Although I guess I should have considering how great Allen has been in all my experiences with them. I sent you an email. Thanks so much for your help.
