    Default First Fish on Bamboo

So my last trip out was my first real trip with my new Bamboo from Dave Dozer at | BambooPursuits | Custom Bamboo Fly Rods - Designed and crafted in Corvallis, Oregon He is a rod builder out of Oregon. He also also spends much time fishing our local waters here in Idaho as his wife is a guide in Stanley Idaho. We caught many cutty's on this trip along with a few Bulltrout. I actually had a large Salmon on the line for a brief moment, thank goodness he spit the hook. Below a couple of pics of some cuts and the rod/reel.

Thanks Dave for such an amazing rod.

Mike: Congrats on the great looking rod and awesome fish! What size of a cane rod did you have Dave build for you?

It is a 7'-6" 4wt. Truly a gem to cast.
