Thinking of trying a rio versileader on my 4wt. Anyone have experience with these on 4wts.? Just need something to get deer hair streamers down.

I have never tried a sink tip on a 4wt. If it is a fast action 4 then I don't see why it wouldn't work. Personally I don't care for versi-leader type sink tips. I much prefer the integrated tips. IMO they cast much better due to less hinging at the attachment point. I do have one rule in fishing though...don't knock it till you try it! Give it a shot & let us know how it works!

A Furled leader with 'sink gunk' sort of stuff on same. Have a couple from 'FurlGirl,' aka Joni here, that sink like a small rock right out of the bag.

well i took it out for the real test today. the results were great! caught 7 bass in about an hour. the mini swimmy jimmy looked awesome and the versileader was just right for the depth i needed! now to try on mr. brown
