Default How do you write a blog?

I have read a few blogs on this forum but I would like to get a clear definition of what you are looking for in a blog. I love writing and would like to attempt writng one here.

I write every day. I don't have a blog on this forum but my advice is to write about what you would like to read, honestly and without pretense, not what you think others would like to read. Make the things you write be very meaningful to you. There will be some that don't care to read it but the ones that do will connect on a personal level and will be anxious to read what you post next.

Good luck with your writing. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

I like to read about others fishing adventures, doesn't have to be to exotic locations, just well written with some good photos. The one that comes to mind is Ard's (Hardyreels), there are several others on the forum as well. Take a look at what Ard has written and you will have a better idea of what I'm talking about.

Any way you want really, there is no official format that you need to conform to. The pages can require some familiarity before constructing a long story will be easy for you.

We would love to have you start recording your stories here with the forum! Content is what makes this a great place for members to drift around and the blogs are often overlooked because we don't see many links for them. It may help to link to your forum blog in a signature line like I have done. If you have any problems figuring out how to negotiate the pages let me know and I will help you.

Ard

Thanks guys, I will try it out in the next few days. I want to let people know what it is like for a city boy who grew up in Montreal and his transformation to becoming a backwoodsmans in the Adirondacks of New York. I love the outdoors and all it has to offer. I want to share that feeling.

We should all have a Blog maybe I should get around to setting one up as it's interesting to Read others Posting & even though the people write their Blogs for others to read I sometimes feel Guilty as I'm reading about Other Peoples adventures however I'm not telling any of mine.
Over The years I've read Hundreds or even thousands on all Topics & issues however lots of The Guys who Post here have excellent Blogs well done Guys.
Brian.

Brian,

You have been around the world enough to tell some stories. Australia would make a very long story all by itself and if you throw in a few pictures I'm sure I'll subscribe to it so I don't miss anything.

The great thing about the blog is that you say what you think, you are the moderator and your threads / pages are not buried away with thousands of other more recent threads on top. That's how I started doing it, I had a few things to say, stories to tell, and I wanted them where I could find them.
