    Default TU?

How many of you guys are life members of TU? I was debating on doing it if I can talk my wife into letting me.

I've got a friend thinking of doing it, sounds like they give you a free rod/ reel when you sign up also.

I am not a life member....just an "annual" member. The "free" rod/reel make it an attractive offer.

I was sitting with an 87 year old gentleman at our club banquet recently.
He mention that after being a member for the last 37 years he would have saved a bundle by becoming a life member years ago.

I don't see how that would work for me.
I'm 66. Unless I live to be 130 or so, it's cheaper to pay the annual fee.
There is that free rod, though.

Right now they are offering a sage one rod and a sage reel. It is very enticing.

Just because you become a lifetime member doesn't mean they won't keep hitting you up for money. In fact, you'll be a member of their "A" list and get hit on even more often.

I just turned 30 so I think that it would pay off for me in the long run and the rod is plus as well. Also I would not have to remember to re-up every year.
