A member suggested to me and now I will pass it along because it works great.

Go to you local hardware store , ace , Home Depot etc and buy a paint strainer. It wads up about the size of a mitten. When you need it, slip it over your net, siene the water. When your done rinse it and put it away.

    All for sub $5.00

If you carry a landing net, you might like the Quick Seine ...
Quick-Seine™ Seine Net: Seine Net Improves fly fishing, fly tying, entomology.

If you want something less expensive, go to a pet store and look at the aquarium nets. Or go a fabric store and look for some mesh fabric which you can attach to a couple of small dowels or just use by hand. Or try a women's nylon stocking (anklet style) which you can pull over your hand like a glove. In any case, white mesh is probably best for visibility of the dark bugs.

You won't feel bad loosing it for less than a buck.

I use a leg from a nylon stocking stretched over my net
Not only can you use it for catching bugs, but it protects the net bag from getting stuck in the brush.

    Looks very stylish too.

If you want to know what the "special" is, don't stir up the bottom.......
Stir it up and you get the whole menu.
I use light green mosquito-net duct-taped to two nylon sticks that fit my pack.
If the net is wet, you can do an aerial scoop for adults...

A kid's size butterfly net works, or you can buy a small piece of vinyl window screen material, staple it between 2 dowels, and carry it rolled up in a pocket.

Okay, that's a lie, but it is a fishing forum and it makes for a fair story...
