That's the beautiful part about the Truckee, it's a very hard river to fish but you can be greatly rewarded. A couple of 30 inchers have come out in the last few years.

Hi packfancjh,

Thanks for sharing that beautiful fish. I sure hope others will get a chance to catch it too.

I think it will weigh more than 10/12 pounds. It is hard to guess the girth but I bet it is closer to 15 pounds. A fish like that will definitely keep you coming back for more.

That fish is probably gobbling up a bunch of fish, crawdads, and small rodents. It will probably have bigger shoulders come spawn time.
