    Yep, that's Walter class!
I heard it was a bird's nest that did the job.
If my speculation is correct about not catching the biggest fish in the river (anomalous),
can you imagine how big that one is? 34-35"!???
Wish a client had hooked it.
Thanks for posting it Pac, I needed some motivation this morning.
This is why we fish here. The next drift could be the one..

Ultimately, it's not catching fish that satisfies, but knowing how.

My brother as my witness I hooked a brown not far off from that guy in the LT last year. Who would've thought I would need something heavier than 5x on the LT, SNAP! There are some BIG fish around here for sure. If not the trout the carp get rather huge themselves.

Fish like that makes me afraid to put my dainty feet in the water, he might bite my ankles!

What a beautiful fish. I was fishing the Truckee last month and it was too much river for my 4 wt so I headed to a couple of smaller streams and pounded on some rainbows. Next time I'm in CA I'm going to bring the 5 wt. for sure. Hell, a 6 wt. would be ideal dragging streamers and nymphs with an indie - but I don't own one. Perhaps I need another rod
