Default Mixing it up / Have a little fun

So my buddies and I are heading out tomorrow for our annual marathon day at the N. Platte. Leave Longmont at 4:15 AM, arrive 7:00-7:30 after a McGriddle or two in Laramie. We fish until about 6:00 then drive 3 hours back. Yeah were nuts but its a tradition.

This year since both my buddies are in their mid 40's but fairly blind I would throw a fun wager in. Wince we are fishing tons of small rs2, trico type patterns I would make ones they could see.

Rules $5 pitched in, must fish the fly if you want to win. Most fish caught with the fly without loosing it takes the pot. We each get one

Think Purple haze but tied with MFC midge body thread in rainbow on a size 12 Dai Riki 320...obviously hi vis post due to their vision issues. If nothing else it will be great to suspend nymphs off of

Sounds like a lot of fun, except for all that driving, best of luck.
Rod and I are already up here at the Reef, did a float today and had a blast. The water is still off color from all rain, but still fish able.

I hope you are slaying them Larry

We are heading to the other end and hitting the NPlatte at the canyon entrance. I saw flows were up a bit but was hoping it isn't off color. I am bringing the 6wt with a bunch of streamers just in case.
