Tough break!

Well, on the very first day after the big summer fishing trip Ford broke his arm.

Glad he waited just one more day to do it but not a fun way to spend the day, its his stripping hand not his casting hand so all is not lost.

Hope he's healed enough to row me in October for the Browns on the Colorado, sometimes kids have so little concern for their elders.

Bummer sounds like it's time for Ford to start using a Tenkara rod.... You only need one hand for that. Hope it heals up soon.

Did a 'hell of a job' to break both bones that way; going to take a considerable bit of time to heal. The good thing (if there is such a thing) is kids heal far faster than Old Dino's like me.

Hi Cody,

I have to agree with Fred in that he has a very nasty injury there. I'm sure the Doc set it back in line but that just looks awful! I hope he gets on the mend quickly with it.

I once broke my collarbone in 2 places, making a "z" shape with the floating bone. This was before I fly fished so not a big deal, but man what a bummer that would be now...
