... A rainstorm coming down off the mountain. Wow says I, I need to take a picture of that.
Next thing you know, 50 MPH winds, 2 foot white caps.

We weren't so bad off in our float tubes, but those folks that were in canoes were holding on for their lives.
So the moral to the story is, when you see something that looks like this, BEAT FEET.

I've had dreams of getting turned over in my belly boat from white caps. I have never come close but have had the bejezus scared out of me.

Rode it out once in a canoe, early may in Algonquin Provincial Park. Sure did tighten the sphincter till we made it to shore.

So true. Keep your eyes on the sky and head in at once when the voice in your head says to. The times I have ignored the voice, I've regretted it.
