Thread: Is Cabelas overpriced for fly fishing gear?

  1. Default Re: Is Cabelas overpriced for fly fishing gear?

I do many other kinds of fishing other than fly fishing and use Cabelas as sort of a one-stop information source, though I don't buy much from there. I go local when I can, but it costs me about $8 now round-trip for gas. I get a bunch of other catalogs and compare prices. I've had good luck with cabelas brand stuff though.

If I'm buying on line I usually will try to compare like items between Cabella's, LL Bean, Bass Pro , Hook & Hackle Etc. but for the most part I try to support my local dealers because if you don't they will go away.
