  1. Question Twist ties, how do you attach them?

Is there a special way to attach twist ties to a fly line so that you don't send it flying when you cast?
Some of the posts I have seen have got me thinking about using twist ties. Adios Philip

Default Re: Twist ties, how do you attach them?

I don't use them much, but I copied the following instructions as posted by planettrout in another thread, Hope it helps.

Twist it on your leader, stretch a bit, twist a little more, then pinch the ends with a fingernail ( thumb & forefinger ). I have used as many as 5-6, in-line 2"-#3" apart, in heavy flows and they do not slide. They are easily removed and will not damage the leader. No biting or pliers are required.
