Demand a specialist and stick with their recommendations. The routine may be a burden, but if you stick with it the results can be quick.
It took me three PTs over a period of 10 years to find the one that was able to help me with my knee long-term. I still do a series of exercises and stretches for that knee every week and it makes it possible for me to do what I do!

That was a great story, thanks for sharing and the tip about seeing a PT for my knees. Last week I went in to see an orthopedic specialist, he took some X-rays of my left knee and said it looks good. He also said my pain might be related to arthritis but he can't see that on an X-ray. He ended up giving me a shot of cortisone and that seems to be working. He did say I would probably need another shot just before going on my Slough Creek backpacking trip in Sept. Now you got me wondering if some PT sessions wouldn't be beneficial.
Yep, I’d try some PT, but it’s not about the sessions. It’s about what you learn and you continue using to put that into play for the long haul.

This exactly. It is about finding an expert to properly diagnose your problem, and give you a detailed routine. Stick with that routine like your life depends on it. We have a limited number of years to do this thing that we love. Sometimes, you have to work hard to be able to keep doing it.

I would love to hear anybody's progress that is dealing with similar issues. It is always encouraging to hear stories of people working through it.
