My new reel and a few questions...

So i got back from my trip to the San Juan to a package on the poker table and my new/old reel arrived. here is a pic or two...

so are spare spools hard to find? it is a little overwhelming in looking on the bay.

I plan on putting this on a 7 wt, (yet to be picked out) and would like to also use it for my 8 wt.

Your only real (reel?) source is E-bay but spare spools in good condition are relatively easy to find for the older models, especially balck ones.

You'll find a spare easily on eBay. Might take a little time but they show up often. I'd google "Abel #2 Spool" and might find a store getting rid of them.

thanks. doubt there would be any retailer having them, the reel is from 1988.
