    Ok.....now it's going off...
I will post some pics if the sun comes out. Shared with locals the belief that we got 7ft. The old guy next to me said...."I live at 6500, and we have 7 feet on the deck.....from the entire winter to this point."
We did go fish some risers...and did not have to fight for water...
We got about 8"today, and will get the same tonite.
    Winter is starting finally.
I know what snow pack measurement is, actually helped one time....
The guy that has done the survey for years has retired. They're transitioning to Lidar. Arial measurements which will be more accurate than skiing out with probes.

The reason we don't make predictions on snow fall......
The weather service called for 15" in a 24 hr period...
We got a new record .....
    46"overnight.
    Now it looks like winter.
The question? Will we get another miricle March....16ft in one month in 1982.....
Worked 15 hrs last night....no fishing today....

The bar isn't set by the fish we catch, but by the one's we don't.

I have been shoveling way to much this year. I am ready for things to dry up and warm up.

One night total in the parking lot.......started with no snow on the roof at 12:00 noon.
Mid mountain was 46".....-9 deg. last night.....
I've been doing mountain life too long to think it's snowmagedon........
3 feet in a night at 6000ft was normal for many years.
Now it's a big deal, for folks who haven't lived it.
Kinda like if you have a racing background, and talk to people who think 80MPH is fast.............
Or that climbing is bad because it's scary.......
It's relative to what you know.
The satellite shot showed reflectance from snow.....could just be inches deep and not long before it melts......

    Maybe climate change is real?
Of course it is. Everything changes.
