Elkhorn T3 Mid-Arbor (Pewter) is incredible to me for a 7wt Steelheader.

I don't have a picture, but my all time favorite is the Hardy, LRH. Second is my Farlow "Panton". And there is a fondness for JW Youngs.

I like many reels but the Lightweight series reels from hardy are my favorites. I have sold off many that I had stopped using but my Princess (shown) and my first one, a 1976 Featherweight are always close. Nothing looks the same on a cane rod............ or a graphite for that matter.

Hardyreels, here's a close second to that. Simple as a Hardy and a cool clicker sound too. C Farlow, Grenaby. From the '60's

I'm digging these Ross Evolutions that I bought @ $200/each :icon_cool !
The English-Made Orvis BBS IV's I bought are pretty nice as well. I told my
wife that if we bought the Evo's, I'd sell some of the others reels I bought
recently, hence the ad in the classified forum: can't bury it any deeper than
that :D !!!

Howdy Rowdy :D
I bought the Slate Grey/Blue Evo's and black Rhythms. I didn't like the blue at first glance, but the price slash gave me a whole new perspective...LOL!!

Here's one that you can't buy!

It was made as an experiment by a fine bicycle frame builder.

This one you can buy, but only if you didn't hang out with Madoff!

This 'ol boy will hang onto the small Charlton and Ross Vision they were blowing out a few years ago as well as a few others I've grown attached to:

Sweet reels, Jackster! Here's a link to an interview with Jack Charlton:

Thanks!

I've always admired good 'ol Yankee ingenuity. Too bad it seems to be in short supply lately!
Still, Jacks back at it and still a touch pricy. With a little luck, maybe 3M will experiment with him again and blow his new Mako reels off at 1/2 price like his old stuff and we'll all be there at the right time!
