I make my own and have given away a few over the years; even auctioned a few at TU events. It's a piece of usable art. I add those extra laminates as well so the net can be used as a staff if need arises. Adds weight but it's solid.

Nice fish! Do you have anymore pictures of it lying in the dirt?
As publicity increases so does the propensity of tripping over yards of mono attached to a Dipsey sinker.

Those are pretty cool. Don't really think of nets when thinking of DIY.

How did you get into this? Is there a beginners website or guide?

Very nice work!! You go get pretty creative with the wood combinations. Pacific Yew or Osage Orange would look sweet combined with the Cocobolo Rosewood!

Traditional custom longbow and recurve bowyers, once established, have a loyal following- You also have the talent to do the same thing with custom fishing nets!

I built long bows for a period of time, and had some really nice wood that was to small for bows. So I just made a frame and laminated the pieces together. It’s actually pretty easy, don’t need a class just watch a few you tube videos, iam sure there are some. I do use epoxy glue instead of tite bond, but suppose either would work. Thanks guys ! I am looking for things like this to do, ( I make a lot of different things) so when ( if ever) I retire I will have something’s to sell at shows and make a little money, hopefully.
