Thread: Softex ...

  1. #1

    Default Softex ...

Having not used this before ....

What is the shelf life of this stuff ... dries out quickly in the jar?

Work well on fly tying applications ?

    Thanks!

Gordon, glad you asked this question I was just thinking about purchasing some Softex myself and I wasn't sure of the shelf life either.

I tried Softex and didn't like it. This was a few years ago and maybe it has improved now.

It was slow to dry, didn't dry real clear and wasn't very tough. I like epoxy better.

Frank, what brand of epoxy are you using??? I tried this 5 min epoxy over the weekend and I am not liking how it cures with air bubbles in it, not clear like the 60 min epoxy I have tried.
