Smart phone apps
So, i recently got a smart phone after putting it off a while. Went with a Samsung model running Android. Obviously one the first things i did was start downloading apps.

For fly fishing, there is pretty slim pickings. Orvis has a nice one out that has video for casts and knots plus a library of different flies and fishing reports. Then there are some that cover just the very basics. One is just text descriptions of how to cast, etc. there is a fishing dictionary, some wallpapers and there is one called Creelcard pro.

The last seems like the one i am mostly looking for. I do have the Orvis one but i was hoping to find one that is mainly a digital version of a fly fishing journal. Anyone know if Creelcard will fit that bill?

Anyone out there have some favorites or other suggestions?

Re: Smart phone apps
Im really new to the smart phone thing. I have downloaded a tide table application. I havent gotten to use it in a practical fishing sense yet, but I think it will come in handy.

Re: Smart phone apps
Actually, WFN just released a new Fishing app that's free to download. It's great, but as of right now works for iphones and ipads only. According to their website though: Fishing Log and WFN Portal Apps it'll be available for androids come summertime. And a fishing log is available!
