Some reel seat rings I've been working on. The first is turned from brass and aged to match the hardware on a late 19th century rod. The chemical aging process I use isn't very tough so I'm not worried that it could be passed off as an original. The pattern of grooves and coining is just something I made up and doesn't match any known (to me, at least!) pattern:
These six are for an individual who's having three custom Spey rods built. The next step will be cutting the facets on the plain center section followed by throwing a bright polish on them:
