Default Zelon

Hey everyone,
Im looking to add some Zelon to my shopping list. Im going to be ordering it from blueribbonflies.com. I need to know what type of Zelon to get(Crinkled, Improved Micro, or Straight Zelon). I will be using this material as tails on Sparkle Duns and maybe even emergers from sizes 12-18 and possibly 20.

I also need to know what colors to get. Tell me what you think about what I have so far.

March Browns & Gray Fox- Mayfly brown

Blue Wing Olive- Baetis Olive or maybe Olive or light olive??

Sulphurs- Medium Dun

Light Cahills- White or Yellow?

I also have some colors in antron. Will antron work ok for tails too?

Here is the link to the website:
Blue Ribbon Flies \\ Merchandise \\ Fly Tying \\ Zelon

Thanks for the help

Bobby

Default Re: Zelon

My best advise to you is to get Blue Ribbon Flies' advise as to what they use in those patterns. They invented most of those flies you mentioned as well as now own the world's supply of Zelon.

Kelly.

Bobbyc21fish,

Many of those questions are answered on BRF's site:
