    Aside from the usual land based earthworms and nightcrawlers that get washed into streams after heavy rains, aquatic worms are often found in rich fertile tailwaters and spring creeks-- if your waters have a lot of weed beds, there's a good chance you've got aquatic worms.

    Perhaps some folks that fish the Big Horn and the North Platte will weigh in, both are said to be loaded with aquatic worms.

    I have always thought that the red san juans looked a lot like bloodworms.
