Thread: Leg Tying Tool

  1. Default Leg Tying Tool

Been playing around with foam. Biggest problem has been getting the legs on where they are supposed to be (they like to wrap around and then get in the way when I whip finish). Saw an item called a leg tying tool which looks like a bodkin with a small loop on the end.

How does this device work and does it help?

    Thanks!

Hi my name is Frank Zervos and I am new around here...I own a couple of those tools and they are for tying Joints in legs for Grasshoppers and for Crickets, they don't work too bad, But the down side is Don't loose The directions...Maybe I am Extra Dumb or something....Every time I pick that tool up it takes me at least an hour to figure out how to Use it again...Like I said I am more than a Little Dumb....

    Talk to you Later

see the photo for a darning tool i use for legs. it's the red handled thingy. finish the foam body then stick the tool thru with the "jaw" closed. you then insert the legs into the hook, close the jaw and pull them thru and glue them. no tying needed

This is the tool you need.
Make it from a Q-tip and rubber.

You can find small knit picker tools at Walmart for around $2. That is what I use.
