    Another great fly body option is biots from the primary feathers of larger birds. I use them on alot of my flies. I don't have a picture handy, but this previous post contains some good photos (and discussion), if you're interested -

    What’s a Biot?

    You can easily (and quickly) fashion a smooth segmented body, or add a bit of dimension to the body based on how you wind on the biot.


    The more you know, the less you need.
